Can anyone who knows Scottish Gaelic tell me what the word leith means?

We recently purchased an old victorian home with the name of Burnleith. We know that Kenneth Edwards Burns (a famous Tasmanian Cricketeer from that era) had the home built, and named it Burnleith (as the original brass placque is still attached). However I have no idea what the word leith means and would appreciate finding the definition. Thank you very much.
