Should I believe this?

I used to like this boy but now that I heard what my brother told me I like him again people told me that he likes me and thinks I'm hot but of course I didn't believe them so now the boy was at baseball practice with my brother and he told him this the boys like "hey what's up?" my brother says "nothing really" then the boy says "oh ok your sister thinks my name is Chris" and my brother is like "oh ok" and then my brother said it was awkward for a second then the boy told my brother "yeah I think your sister is supper hot." and my brother is like "oh ok." then that was it should I take what he said seriously and believe the boy i used to like?
